Detailed Horror Poster Analysis



The Colour Pallet Used In This Poster Is Red And Black. This Will Instantly Scare The Reader Because Red Connotes A Sign Of Blood,Death And Violence.Black Cannotes A Sign Of Fear.

The Text Used For IT Makes It Scary Because It Looks Like It Has Been Clawed/Scratched. This Creates The Effect Of Violence Which May Scare The Reader Or Even Bring In Attention.IT Uses The Slogan 'You'll Float Too'. Slogans Usually Attract Attention To The Reader.

The Background Image On The IT Shows A Hand And A Balloon. If You Have Never Watched IT You Have No Idea. The Main Image In IT Is A Boy Who Was Taken And Bled To Death. This Attracts Attention To The Reader Because They Would Want To Know The Full Story About Georgie.

Overall The Poster Makes The Film Worth Watching Because It's Freaky And Almost As if Its A Cliff Hanger. You Don't Know By Looking At The Cover By What's Gonna Happen To the Reader So It Draws In Attention:)
